The wind
Invisible to the sailor as she fills his sails
Gently moving his vessel toward his ambitions
Unseen
He feels the wind but doesn’t understand her
He sees the beauty in her movement but doesn’t see her
He focuses on his needs, his desires, his worries
The compass that he has always used fails him
Confusion sets in as he experiences the rhythm of the wind, not knowing she just wants to be seen
Her passion envelopes him
He feels the warmth in the air, trying to soften his heart
But the breeze is too strong
Seeing the strength of the wind frightens the sailor
He starts to take down the sails, not understanding how to navigate the waters with the ebb and flow of her gales
So she holds her breath, calming the seas
Pulling back from the man she’s admired
Watching him use oars to get to his destination
The rain begins to fall
