When you create your works do you buy all the parts and assemble them? Or do you do any cutting and shaping, polishing of the stones yourself and do you make or buy the findings? I am reading up on Lapidary and jewelery making so am curious.
With only a mouse ! I'm just as shocked as you are. I found most of the features available in photoshop very intuitive. This was unexpected, believe me. After awhile I was cranking out three paintings in two days. I don't even own a camera ! Thanks for kind words. Your work is beautiful.
Your jewelry is so beautiful. Your ideas are very powerful. I feel a connection with you. I love Sante Fe I wanted to move to Taos. Maybe someday. I am not a jeweler but love the interplay of colors and organic design that suggest mysterious landscapes. Peace
your jewellery is wonderful. i am a stone and gemstone lover in every way....my amethyst, crystals...are my inspiration. I thought about to become a jewelleryartist but to enter is so hard! instead of...i enjoy what i love to do most, painting and photography.

VISIONS & VANITIES was a cosmic accident waiting to happen. . .
A life-affirming adventure into what would become my salvation from the tedium of big~city business & the isolating pain of chronic illness.
I've always been attracted to "shiny objects," so with the regained sight of a young girl's eyes, full of wonder & mystery, I returned to my childhood loves & began to play. . .first, with the natural stones & minerals that have always fascinated me. . .
then with the mesmerizing VISIONS in glass & clay & ceramics & metals, by so many creative artisans I discovered in my extensive travels on the Web & in Life!
A Dallas, TX native, I have lived in Santa Fe, Abiquiu & Taos, NM, where I draw inspiration from the Sky & Clouds, the Mountains, the Deserts & Rivers, the Native American Spirit & Latin American Cultura ~ and incorporate these influences with the Urban, Sophisticated, Exotic, Classic, Boho, Funky & Romantic styles that are universal favorites.
I love the interplay of contrasting material components in the necklaces & other pieces I design. . .and use only the finest and most unique elements ~ semi-precious Gemstones, Corals, Turquoise, freshwater & crystal Pearls, Swarovski Crystals, Murano, lampwork & other Artisan Glass pendants and beads, Vintage beads of all types, polymer clay, Ceramics & Porcelain, Shells, gleaming Copper, Sterling & Hill Tribe silver, brilliant Gold vermeil. . .
This kaleidoscope of treasures remind me that beauty is often the result of the interplay of opposites ~ the yin & yang.
My life motto for many years has been "RE-MAKE / RE-MODEL" ~ so of course I learned early how to re-construct my Mom's jewelry, and all the vintage trinkets I picked up in re-sale shops around the country.
I am a total rock fiend, love to paint & make "stuff" & write, travel as much as possible, and learning more about digital design & photo techniques.
First priority Now ~ getting through chemo & seizing back my life energy force!
(Update: I made it through chemo, started radiation treatment, then found out I have really bad brain tumors ;-( ) My priority now is accepting a miracle cure from my Creator!
" If one advances confidently in
the direction of her dreams, and
endeavors to live a life which
she has imagined, she will meet
with a success unexpected
in common hours."
My VISION is to build a successful business that enables me to continue producing Beauty in the spirit of creative generosity ~
so I can perhaps inspire girls & young women who need a chance at hope and empowerment through their own VISIONS!
I'm Looking To Connect With...
Creators of Energy, Art, Music, Dance, Literature, Craziness, Business.
