About Me:
Learning to cope with physical limitation and illness, I was able to find peace and pain relief in designing and fabricating jewelry. I began taking silversmithing classes because my mom urged me to use my talent to find something I enjoyed doing. I had been crafty all my life making one thing or another in various mediums, but this gave me an outlet for coping and going inside to find peace. She was right, I really do enjoy it.
I'm Looking To Connect With...
Other jewelry designers, creaters, artists. Or anyone with that artistic love in live. It does not matter what kind of artist you are or if you're an artist at all, I love people of all walks of life.

“The Navajo teach their children that every morning when the sun comes up, it's a brand-new sun. It's born each morning, it lives for the duration of one day, and in the evening, it passes on, never to return again. As soon as the children are old enough to understand, the adults take them out at dawn and they say, "The sun has only one day. You must live this day in a good way, so that the sun won't have wasted precious time." Acknowledging the preciousness of each day is a good way to live, a good way to reconnect with our basic joy.” — Pema Chodron

Lapidary seems to intrigue me at the moment. I am tumbling some rocks now in my new rock tumbler and reading about rock saws, Faceting machines, grinders, polishers. Tumblers are inexpensive but next step up is the slabbing, cutting, trimming, grinding, polishing, faceting machines, some are expensive. I have found a three in one machine for about $450.00,( most single machines seem to run 1 to 3k or more.) I have my eye on it. Library today 6 books and some reading to do, also got some jewelery crafting books, just exploring as usual, should be fun. Idaho is next door to my state ("the Gem State") rocks should be no problem lol. Just reading about all this is kinda exciting.
