About Me:
I am ... unique, compassionate, patient, creative, confident, shy, full of passion, loyal, beautiful, sure of what I want, strong... but most of the time I am either a combination of those things or none of them at all. I believe dreaming isn't a waste of time, but an essential part of life. Sometimes I don't want to have to be strong.
I'm Looking To Connect With...
others who are passionate about what they create.. music, art, poetry, food, etc....

A goddess, She is
Rarely seen is the depth of her psyche
Sybaritic inner being
She covets it
Holds tight that place within her
Revealing it only to the worthy, who are few
Never promising to not shed tears
Never apologizing for feeling
Never running from confrontation
Accepting her own confidence when others can’t
Still reclusive in the swarm
She is “just” a woman,
A goddess, she is

My first song!

I love music.. to me, art is music in physical form. As an artist, I love expressing myself in so many ways, but I wanted to extend that expression to incorporate my love of song.. so I wrote a song! Having no musical background made this a huge challenge. I figure, as I learn, I'll only get better ;-) Here are the lyrics. I'll add the audio to my page when it's ready!

Remembering

I caught myself playing with my hair when I was thinking of him.
I didn't realize he had infiltrated my thoughts
until I felt the rhythm of the silky stands
twisting and turning between my fingers.
Musing over fractured thoughts of him,
Cracked with perfectly imperfect facets,
transforming from simple to simply complex.
Briny, mercurial movement,
flux and fluid,
tainting my crystal clarity.
Scalding thoughts branded on my mind.
To forget would be euphoric madness.
To remember is sybaritic suicid… Continue

A little further

The last post I did, I had taken an image of a piece of art I had made... with curvy lines that reminded me of the movement of the wind. Then, I was inspired to take it a little further. This is the image that should have been posted with the poem "The Wind".

The wind

The Wind

The wind
Invisible to the sailor as she fills his sails
Gently moving his vessel toward his ambitions
Unseen
He feels the wind but doesn’t understand her
He sees the beauty in her movement but doesn’t see her
He focuses on his needs, his desires, his worries
The compass that he… Continue

TAKE HOME A SMILE
by Edgar Guest

Take home a smile; forget the petty cares,
The dull, grim grind of all the day's affairs;
The day is done, come be yourself awhile:
To-night, to those who wait, take home a smile.

Take home a smile; don't scatter grief and gloom
Where laughter and light hearts should always
bloom;
What though you've traveled many a dusty mile,
Footsore and weary, still take home a smile.

Take home a smile -- it is not much to do,
But much it means to them who wait for you;
You can be brave for such a little while;
The day of doubt is done -- take home a smile.

Love you. Thank you so much for sparking my inspiration again. You don't know it but you've helped me so much. Im here to share with you because of your help. Your work of the "Behind the Barn" is the same colors as our wampum beads made out of shells. We used these beads to make wampum belts to help us remember our treaties and our laws. Purple and white are the colors. This painting tells a story of the Five Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy before the Tuscarora joined us in 1722. This is prior to that. The eagle represent protection and warning for impending danger. From left to right. Seneca, one standing feather on headdress, people of the Great Hill and "Keepers of the Eastern Door". Cayuga, one sloped feather, people of the swamp, also pipe carrying people. Center, is the Onondaga, One standing feather, one sloped feather, Keepers of the fire, they keep our council gatherings alive. Oneida, People of the Standing Stone. Mohawk, three standing feathers, People of the Flint and "Keepers of the Eastern Door". Because of this painting I've decided once in a life time opportunity to create on headdress (Kahstowa) for each nation. You've inspired me so much, thank you.

Funny that, Rebecca! That's what I used to do before I found this website! Now that the jail let me out because of overcrowding, I don't need a shiv anymore. I just need a purple tutu and a baboon and, of course, a computer with internet access. Thanks for stopping by! I like you!

Your art / words provided a special haven for me today as I was just passing through. Someday's it is best NOT to just pass through - but to leave a whisper of reflection on the loving impact of "someone's" work. The someone being you.

Hi Rebecca! We just did a recording over the weekend. I'm still mixing the rest of it, but completed and uploaded "Idioteque" to my page. It's downloadable and sharable - and I hope you think it sounds good! Our debut on Sept 4th was amazing and couldn't have gone better. We have several dates on the horizon, and more recordings coming soon so...wanted to keep you posted!

I hope this finds you doing well, take care!
