Thank you I needed to hear that. What struck me to the core was those last two questions. What is this piece for? What does it need to do or say? I started this one painting 8 months ago. I haven't done anything since. I was stuck on it. When I pai…

Hi MJ,
Thanks for adding me. I guess one way it could be done is to make slides of the paintings and/or artwork and project them behind the band some way. That's one way I can think of.

Hope you're having a great week.

Thanks for your kind comment, MJ! I love your work too, beautiful harmony on shapes and colors, i wish could touch them!
But which image that you talking about? Well, there are many of my images that I dreamed and imagined... and later i figure out how make them real. I love this kind of process.
Enjoy your day! :) Alex

Thanks for the comment. I would have to say I really like Twin Moons Rising, has an almost illuminated page quality to it, but subtle.

Hi MJ - Thank you for becoming a friend. I really enjoyed looking at your pieces. The images are wonderful - but like mine unless you can feel the texture and look closely at the minute details one misses the finer qualities.

About Me:
I am a self-taught artist with a driving passion and commitment to creative expression, personal discovery and artistic experimentation. I was introduced to art in the public school system at an early age, and was blessed with teachers whose focus was based not so much on technique, but on discovery, experimentation, the creative process and embracing the total artistic experience.

I experiment with a wide range of materials, both traditional and non-traditional, and have experience in a variety of areas, including: pottery, printmaking, commercial art, sculpture and weaving. Although painting is my primary focus, elements of all these disciplines are evident, as seen in the graphic and sculptural qualities of my work. Watercolor is a favorite medium due to its flowing qualities and ability to produce unique and unusual patterns by allowing colors the freedom to mingle and transform. As an abstract artist, I like to challenge the viewer to look beyond the commonplace, the recognizable; to see not just with the mind, but with the soul and perhaps find reflections of our own inner symbolism.

"Creative expression for me, is more than something I love doing, it's something I must do; my survival depends on it, as much as the air I breathe and the food I eat. Art is the food that feeds my soul."

"The creative process is still very much a mystery to me. It has been my experience that beginning with any preconceived idea or end result in mind limits the success of my work. My process is an intuitive one. It's as if the piece speaks to me, never revealing too much of itself; just enough, a piece at a time, until the last one falls into place."

My Creative Intent is.....to seek out new inspiration and experience the creative process so fully, that by simply putting brush to canvas, I might truly discover, understand and explain my "Self" to my "self".

As for some of my other interests.....
Music: Jazz, Blues, Celtic, Classic 70's Rock, New Age & World Music
Culinary: Gourmet, French, Italian, Mexican
Gardening: Flower & Vegetable
Design: Interior & Graphic
I'm Looking To Connect With...
Some new creative friends, hopefully in the Denver area, that share some of my interests, who have a positive attitude, a sense of humor, for the most part non-judgmental, fairly drama free, a little streak of the bohemian in them and have a passion for life. I enjoy good, witty conversation, sharing of ideas, beliefs, hopes, dreams and inspirations.
