Chapter One of "The Encounter"
This is the first chapter of a book I (self) published a few years ago. The novel is complete, as is the sequel, which was also published. Long story short, neither is still available although a few original paperback copies are still circling around. Book One is in the process of apprasial by several publishing houses but most of them don't approve of simultaneous submissions so don't tell anyone.

Chapter One of "Trinentel"
This is the first chapter of the novel I finished a few months ago. I'll include the second and third chapters a little later (one I get the hang of this My Creative Intent thing). The novel is finished and is currently in the process of being rejected my several reputable publishers.
I'm not sure how the format will translate, if there'll be spaces between the paragraphs or reverse indentation, but I don't think any experienced reader will have a problem following along.
