Do you sell your work?
How do you market and promote your artistic creations?
If you sell directly from your own website, via third party sales outlets or through agents and galleries, what works for you and more importantly what doesn't.

A TOAST TO HAPPINESS
by Edgar Guest

I sing in NYC at homes for the elderly, I find this incredibly REWARDING! Yes, I do get paid well. I sing music from the 1940's, & 50's. It makes them so happy, to bring back memories. Many times, people come right out of their alzheimers and sing a…
Too many hats really to be able to stick myself in one box. I do all of the following with the web work currently taking up most of my time. Professional photographer since 1991. Architectural and Fashion and stock photography. Web designer/Developer - first web site in 1998, played around with various ideas and learning bits of Java, ASP and PHP. Digital Artist - sometimes photographs work better that way. Occaisional musician, played guitar since I was 11, (played in 'glam' rock bands in the 80's had big hair and still have the cowboy boots) now seem to collect guitars rather than play them! did some dj'ing late 80's early 90's. Used to collect records. Wannabe writer - Have wriiten, produced and directed a short film. Directed some low budget music videos and now working on some ideas for novels and film scripts.
Prior to becoming a professional photographer I worked in the music industry and then as a lighting designer for 8 years.
Computers and the internet have opened up many new creative avenues for me, all I have to do is stop having the ideas! :-)

Here's my version of Linkin Park's The Catalyst - Linkin Park provided only about a minute of the vocals and a few other tracks. I only used the vocals and preformed, programed, produced and mixed the music with a new arrangement. Of course I never…
