New Jersey Artist Laura Barbosa is best known for her Animal Portraits, Abstract Expressionism, Outsider Art and Digital Art Prints. She is a Self-Representing / Published / Public Collections / Professional Fine Artist whom makes a living off her art and donates her artwork to charitable causes when supplies and time are available. Her most recent collection has raised $7500.00 for a local Therapy Dog Organization. Laura is always striving to better her art career and to help charities.

Artist Statement: My Artwork has been described by others as "an embarrassment of riches in a colorful world of subconscious thinking." It is like a journey into the deepest corner of my mind which pulls out current ideas and accumulations of my past experiences, welding them together and presenting them to the world, allowing the viewer to create their own conclusions and individual meanings that are all their own."

New Originals Coming Soon
I am working on new pieces for 2009. My intention is to invest in larger canvas because I like to create on a bigger scale in general. The next paintings will be at least 30 x 40" on gallerywrap canvas, ready to hang. I will be using more of my palette knife and also reaching into my subconcious mind to pull out unique themes for these artworks. TOMS RIVER, N.J., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Twelve special therapy dogs have a permanent home at the Community Medical Center, thanks to artist Laura Barbosa.
