About Me:
I am orginally from the great Windy City and have since relocated to the Atlanta area, by way of Iowa, by way of Maryland...let's just say that I like to move around alot. I am an abstract artist who loves to push boundaries and experiment with texture.

I do commissioned artwork but also do artwork for the fun of doing. I seek to combine a historical aspect along with a creative interpretation because I like for viewers to walk away with questions and perhaps the feeling to investigate.
I'm Looking To Connect With...
artists locally and internationally who do it for the fun of doing it.

Thanks I m glad you like my paintings. The painting with text is powerful. I painted around each letter. I started a sculpture,3d, and found object art group. If you do anything 3d you should join. Have a great day!

The lettering stands out to much yo need to incorporated the letters with the paint by dripping paint . You can work on it and try using off white on some of the letters so the image becomes more painterly and less flat and graphic. If you mess it up paint on top of it.

AmiChem got o my page and watch the video of my teacher George Hughes. I cant tell anyone exactly how to paint. The video will show you how an excellant abstract expressionist paints. So try watching it for ideas. Hope this helps. Good Luck your friend Karin

No varnish. No gloss just fade some of the letters in and out to make them have more understated quality. They stand out to much and need to fade in an out with mixed colors that are not muddy and not brown. Make the paint thicker No glazing.Work on subtle colors Stay away from black use black mixed with blueNo colors straight out of the tube. You can use a knife or even a credit card to paint with experiment.keep working its a process like playing the guitar. It will be great
