I hope you will look at the videos I posted recently. I have one about Faith Ringgolds soft sculpture, Quilts and paintings that is wonderful. I also posted my capstone exhibit with several found object paintings.

I have used found objects in my painting such as wooden picket fence gates, fire place screens and metal stars.I am now incorporating table tops in my sculpture. If it works and is imaginative why not try it? One only has to think about safety issues around your audience.

Sculpture goes green at The University of Maine 2008. They are rethinking what we make sculpture out of. I have some salt blocks that cows lick. They can be carved with chisels. Also recycle,, reuse, and renew is apparent in the art world. Found object art/painting can be very interesting. You might try carving a salt block!

Tracy I think you have created a very spiritual and healing image. I posted a fun video about using tape for sculpture. I have never tried it.You might watch it and tell me what you think.Looks like they are just making figures from live models.
