If you have any short stories that you'd like to have published, we are now accepting submissions for a new literary magazine called Digital Americana. Because we are new, right now we are doing our best to get the word out to writers and artists of all types. If you are interested in submitting something, just send it along to submissions@digitalamericana.me with the heading Fiction Submissions.

PRAYER FOR SOLIDARITY AND JUSTICE — The Terma Collective

May our eyes remain open even in the face of tragedy.
May we not become disheartened.
May we find in the dissolution of our apathy and denial, the cup of the broken heart.
May we discover the gift of the fire burning in the inner chamber of our being -- burning great and bright enough to transform any poison.
May we offer the power of our sorrow to the service of something greater than ourselves.
May our guilt not rise up to form yet another defensive wall.
May the suffering purify and not paralyze us.
May we endure; may sorrow bond us and not separate us.
May we realize the greatness of our sorrow and not run from its touch or its flame.

World performance poet Hedwig Gorski will perform pieces from her new CD of radio broadcasts titled Send in the Clown without the band and read from her art memoir Intoxication: Heathcliff on Powell Street at the Gold Mine Saloon, 701 Dauphine Street in the French Quarter, Thursday, 8 p.m. (504) 586-0745. Her public career began in New Orleans with blues musician Babe Stovall at the Jazz Fest and the underground rag NOLA Express in the 1970s. Her gypsy-artist persona and Ph.D. create a powerful woman with a voice for those exploited and invisible in America. Polish translations of her poems appear in Okolica; neo-verse drama in Karawane, and an interview in a Turkish journal are upcoming. In July/August 2009, she will appear at the Jozi Spoken Word Fest in Johannesburg, South Africa, and give a performance poetry workshop at a township high school in Gauteng province.

I am looking for fiction, poetry, essays, ect... for Miranda Literary Magazine. If anyone has a polished piece I would love to get it in. Send it over quick. We probably will have to close submission around Dec 20. Be well and creative.

Hello All,
I've been a member of the painters group for awhile now and have just joined writers. Writing is my second love, and I'm looking for some honest critiques. One of my favorite writers since I was a child is Edgar Allen Poe and my short stories are kind of a modern version of his genre. Anyway, I've posted a short story on my blog and would love some feedback.
