My Creative Intent

The Community For The Creative Power Of Intention

I've always thought of photography as meditative in some ways...
Miksang is a Tibetan word that translates as ‘Good Eye’, and is based on the Shambhala and Dharma Art teachings of the late meditation master, artist, and scholar Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche. Off hand I know of 2 books I read
"The Essential" and "Crazy Wisdom" (& still return to them). So one day I'm reading a Magazine "Natural Solutions" and in a article saw "Chögyam Trungpa" then "Miksang Photography" (???) reading on... this meditative approach of photography fascinated me. I look forward to learning more about the practice of Miksang and in turn myself. As I BELIEVE in abandoning all concepts and predispositions and becoming completely present in the moment over and over again (what is done though is sometimes different). Well I'll sure INTEND too anyway and go beyond the limits of my thought! Who knows I'll probably become a better photographer. :)

You think of meditation as a "good eye", I think of meditation as insight, meaning, connection with the purity of love. Unconditional love. Sometimes, while meditating phenomenon appear, this tells me to be patient and wait for more depth and connection. For a long time, I used to try to capture the memory of the phenomenon; this prohibited my deeper journey. Then; I let go and instead of seeing, I felt.
