I was just wondering what you find to be the most enjoyable aspect of your work as a jewelry artist? I think there are many forms of abundance in our lives and we all look at life in different ways. What about your job, hobby, etc. of jewelry making allows you to feel fullfilled or abundantly blessed?

I am new to making jewelry so in answer to what I find most enjoyable it would be the discovery that yes I can actually make a piece of jewelry.

Tumbling rock is like watching paint dry but opening the tumbler is like Christmas to see what you are getting after a week of tumbling rock to polish them, (that is step 1 for a week, polishing is four steps each step a week or more- whew it does take some time).

Cutting and grinding rock is dirty and slow, but when it is done and fits in the metal finding or setting it is a relief.

Shopping for materials is tedious and sometimes expensive,( cutting machine, saws, grinder, tools, wire, grit, tumblers, rock, findings) but it is nice to have the tools to accomplish your goals.

Looking up things and learning new things turns me on and walking on the beach to find rock to work with is enjoyable, buying rock worldwide is awesome.

I also enjoy that I can pick up the creating something and put it down anytime and come back to it anytime day or night that gives me something to do and a creative fix anytime I need it.

An added bonus is practicing photography on what is created.

Bottom line to enjoy would be comments and an ooooh or ahhhh thrown in from time to time.

I do not feel fulfilled or blessed I quit smoking and this creative stuff keeps me busy so I am just grateful that my brain keeps discovering these neat things to do and I get excited to do them, so maybe my life will continue to do, learn and share these things.
